Write It All Down
While blog hopping this morning, I happened upon this quote. Somewhere I remember seeing it in the past, but for whatever reason it hit home this morning, and I thought I would share.
“I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.”
Beryl Pfizer
Yeah. So if we are doing our job and trying to declutter our lives, we won’t be spending time to look for anything because we would know just where it was. Unfortunately I have no way to declutter my mind, which means I do have to write things down to organize them.
I have a notebook that I keep on my desk. I have a purse that’s larger so the notebook slides right into it and I can take it places with me. I am a freelance writer for work, and I am always needing to jot things down - there is nothing like a fresh, clean notebook for listmaking, information, directions places, phone numbers, etc. The page that is opened next to me, has four ideas for articles on my other blog, an address of a wrong number that called me yesterday (don’t ask), the phone number for our riding stable, a friend’s cell # and a “we’re out of this” grocery list. LOL And there is still plenty of room on that page to continue on.
I did forget to mention all the doodles too.
I love that quote up there. It’s my motto.
Oh, and I’m still slightly buried (though maybe not as much) under cookbooks. I am hoping to have that project completed by this afternoon, so I can find a new project downstairs to work on. I’ll take pictures and keep you informed.

I have 2 words for you “Palm Z22″. It’s a fairly inexpensive ($99 or less) electronic calendar/organizer. It’s NOT a phone/internet/calendar/organizer. I think Best Buy still carries them in their stores. Of course you can always find them online. I got mine a year ago at Best Buy for $99.
You can also “back up your palm Z22″ to your computer so you can make changes to your calendar, to-do list, etc. on your computer, then sync to your Palm. If you have alot of calendar entries to make, or to-do lists this beats poking out each letter with the stylus.
My Palm Z22 keeps me organized, no missed appointments or missed children’s events. And no more post-it notes or lists that I can’t find.
I don’t work for Palm, I just love this product.
I used to visit Blog Village a lot but it is fun to return and see who is new to me. Great job with the blog!
