Life Gets Busy

Published by simplywriting at 9:37 am under General Edit This

ETA: Please be sure and check back all month long - I have the next 26 days written and posted, for each day! Come back for great organization on everything from junk mail, scrapbooking organization, craft room organization, kitchen organization and more. You never know when there will be more than one post in a day either. :)

Surprise, surprise. I’m checking back in. I am so sorry that I neglected this blog for half a month. I so didn’t mean to, but life got busy and trying to juggle twenty things wasn’t helping. So, I’m on the NaNo path and am about knee deep in thick plot, but have been trying to focus on other things in addition to my novel. I mean, isn’t that how a real author works? LOL

I wound up organizing my kitchen last night while I really should have been writing, but I’m glad I did it because there was a lot of trash in there and today is trash day. I need to seriously quit saving everything. We have about 100 gift bags in a container in the basement, yet I feel the constant need to save them all. I think whatI need to do, is go through the gift bag container, throw away any I doubt I’ll ever use, and then only save the future ones that look like something we would use.

I will say that keeping gift bags (which was a huge part of the clutter in my kitchen - three bdays in the past 2 months) has saved us tons of money, but I need to start putting things away rather than piling them to do later.

So that’s my tip for the day: Learn by my experience and when you have something that needs to be put away, don’t wait until later. Because later might never come and before you know it you will have things piling up all over the place. Trust me, I know.

What do you find to be your biggest clutter problem? Aside from gift bags, mine is mail. Tomorrow check back for some tips for clearing your mail clutter.
