It’s Around Here Somewhere
This is typically the most often used phrase in an organized household. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be able to find everything you want, every time you are looking for it?
You can if you organize. The key point to organizing is finding a place for everything. Organizing doesn’t necessarily go with decluttering, because you can actually own all the clutter you want if you can find a place to house it. Do I think that is a good idea? Uhm….no. Removing clutter from your life can seriously improve your mood, help you think better and remove constant distractions making it easier to concentrate and work on other tasks.
Organizing your clutter doesn’t actually fix the problem, though if it is something you use reguarly and you want to keep it, that indicates that the item in question is simply not clutter. Remember, that what might be clutter to one person, is not to another.
If you were to walk into my scrapbooking area and see all of the supplies that I own, you would think clutter immediately (unless of course you are a scrapbooker and then you might begin drooling). However those items I use, perhaps not on a daily basis, but often enough to warrant them a home. I have some organizing systems in place in that area, but I know that I could do much more.
During the month of October we will be talking about de-cluttering and organizing craft areas and holiday decorations. We will also begin our Christmas planning so we can get organized there too.
Please feel free to drop me a note and let me know if there is something specific that I could help with.
